The college discourages the deferment of admission but in highly exceptional cases, it may be allowed.  Therefore, the following

guidelines apply.

 

  • Deadline: An application for Deferment of Admission shall normally not be entertained unless it reaches the Registrar within one month of the commencement of lectures in each academic
  • Deferment Fees: There shall be a non-refundable fee of two thousand naira only (=N=2,000.00) payable to the Bursary before the student collects an application form for deferment from the Registrar’s
  • Frequency of Deferment: Normally, a student can apply for deferment only once in each particular

 

  • Channel of Application: Every application shall be channeled through the relevant coordinators of programme and HOD to the
  • Acceptance of Deferment Application: In case of acceptance of an Application, all or some of the fees (excluding deferment fees) earlier paid by the student may on application by the student be credited to him/her for the new academic However, an acceptance fee on One thousand Naira only (=N=1,000.00) must be paid by the candidate.
  • Rejection of Application: In case of rejection, the student must commence or apply afresh for The student shall forfeit all the fees earlier paid, unless under a serious illness with genuine medical confirmation from government hospital.
  • Lapse of Deferment: An application for deferment, though duly approved shall lapse if the applicant fails to register for courses within the first month of the commencement of lectures in the session to which the deferment was

Reinstatement:         At the end of the deferment period, the candidate shall apply for reinstatement directly to the Registrar with advance copies of his/her application being sent to the coordinator and HOD of his/her programme.
